Once trendy, open-office spaces are becoming ubiquitous — and for most workers, universally loathed. Crammed against other workers, often in a smaller space than individual offices, open-concept plans save companies precious real estate, while also bringing workers closer together — for better and for worse. Yet, with a few small changes, open offices can be made more bearable, argues a new report in Bloomberg.
