I’ve seen plenty of AI criticism lately, some fair, but mostly just the same old complaints about the endless “slop” flooding our feeds.
I think this surface-level focus misses what really counts. The tool itself isn’t the problem, it’s what we want to do with it that matters. AI reflects the clarity of the goals we set. If the vision is shallow, the output will show it. But with a clear, ambitious purpose, AI can be an incredible force for good.
If all you notice is low-effort output, that’s less a tech limitation than a call for everyone to set a higher bar.
There’s no honor in putting up with outdated, painful workflows just because “that’s the way it’s always been.” Just put in the effort and you will understand why some of us are truly excited.
