Just got my LinkedIn Wrapped (I know I’m late, it’s been a few busy weeks) here’s some of the most defining moments of this year:
- Saying a tearful goodbye to the team at Valispace (Acquired by Altium) and Altium® after seven years of growth.
- Diving into the deep end at BRIDGE IN to help companies kill bureaucracy and focus on building.
- Stress-testing the latest AI coding tools to see if they actually survive a real production workload.
- Building a new team product from the ground up, this time all by myself.
- Rethinking how we handle burnout by focusing on motivation, ownership and mission alignment.
This year was defined by the grit it takes to move from a long-term professional home into a high-growth startup environment. Transitioning to BRIDGE IN reminded me that engineering leadership isn’t just about the tech stack or the architecture; it’s about building a culture where “It can’t be done” is a punchline, not a valid excuse.
I have spent a lot of time rethinking the craft of software. It is easy to talk about scaling, but doing it while keeping the team focused on the mission is where the real work happens. Moving to start from scratch, back to the basics has been the most rewarding pivot I could have asked for.
2026 intention: Build faster, scale smarter, and keep the team’s mission at the center of every sprint.
