Fable and Mythos are the same model.

Same weights, same benchmarks. The only difference is a classifier layer sitting in front. Fable routes sensitive queries away. Mythos lets them through, for a vetted list of security and bio researchers.

One brain. Two doors. The guardrail is the entire product.

So when the government pulled Fable and then let it back, the intelligence was never the question. It never changed. The question was which door you walk through to reach it.

We keep framing capability as the thing to govern. Capability already shipped and isn’t going back in the box. What’s being negotiated now is access: who gets the safeguarded version, who gets the raw one, who gets to flip the switch.

The control surface moved. It’s not the weights anymore. It’s the guardrail.
